How does a vehicle get onboarded onto AegisFleet?

Our operations team provisions the interlock/GPS/monitoring hardware and its device credentials first. Once it sends its first heartbeat, an administrator generates a one-time claim code for that vehicle. Your organization's owner or admin enters that code in the portal under "Register a device and bus," which assigns the vehicle to your account — it then appears in your portal and API immediately.

How long does a claim code stay valid?

Claim codes default to a 72-hour lifetime and can be extended up to 7 days. They're single-use, rate-limited per user, and stored only as hashes — never shown again after creation, so keep it safe until you use it.

Can we use only alcohol interlock, without GPS or driver monitoring?

Yes. The Drager Interlock plan covers interlock enforcement only. GPS and driver monitoring are available as add-on tiers if you want them later — you can request a plan change from the portal at any time.

Who can access our fleet's data?

Only users you invite to your organization, scoped to your tenant — nobody outside your account can see your vehicles, drivers, or events. Within your team, roles control what each person can do: owners and admins manage the account and team, operators can acknowledge alerts, and viewers get read-only access.

Is there an API for integrating with our own systems?

Yes — a full integration API with per-key scopes, webhook delivery for events, and interactive documentation at /docs. Production API keys are managed by your organization's owners/admins directly from the portal.

Owners and admins can request a plan change directly from the portal. Our team reviews and applies it — your existing vehicles and data carry over without disruption.

Yes — authenticator-app TOTP MFA is available for portal accounts, along with active-session listing, individual session revocation, and single-use recovery codes.
